Taryon...The Hero As A Lover ( for taking photos)

I love to take pictures. Even though a lot of people think it is not a physical challenge, I believe it is. Trying to get the right angle, and putting your arm the right way involves a lot of leg and arm movement which is very physical. This archetype pertains to me because my favorite person to photograph is myself. Some might say I am conceited, but I think I just love myself enough to have a lot of pictures of myself. Whenever I have a camera, the first person I take a picture of is myself. Although taking pictures does not sound like something a warrior would do, it could benefit warriors in many different ways. They could have strong triceps and biceps, and they would be good at taking pictures. I don't have any external enemies, but taking pictures is a real physical challenge that I have overcome.

Knowledge

My quest for knowledge started out when I was in Pre-K. Finding my quest of knowledge is important because it can help me with my plans for the future. When obstacles come my way, I will stay focused because I know what knowledge can bring me in the future when I become successful. Whenever someone tells me that I shouldn't go on with trying to further my education, that motivates me to keep going. Knowing that I can have knowledge of different things, helps me when I am at school in my different classes and doing my work. After my quest for education is over, I can become successful and fulfill my dream, becoming a Pediatrician. Being victorious will effect people around me in various ways. When a child comes in to get a check up, my knowledge of medicine will help me determine whether or not the child needs medicine or if they are in perfect health.

The Mentors of My Life...My Parents

I don't have just one mentor in my life, I have two. My parents are the most amazing people you could ever meet. All my life they have been there for me giving me all the love they can give. They always show that they care by asking me how school is going and even communicating with my teachers on some occasions to make sure I am doing everything to the best of my ability. If I ever feel down and need someone to be there for me, if one of them is not there at the time, the other one is. I remember the one time I broke my arm, they could of just told me to suck it up, instead, they stayed at the hospital with me all night and helped me write when I had homework. They don't show favortism between my sister and me because they care about how the both of us feel. Even if I get in trouble, they still find a way to cheer me up after they have punished me. Although some kids are ashamed of their parents and never want to be around them, nothing can stop me from loving them with all my might. They are and will forever be my mentors.

The Threshold Guardian in My Life

Being shy used to be the threshold guardian in my life. When I was younger, I never wanted to talk to people I didn't know, or talk in front of a larger crowd of people. Once when I was in pre school, we had a graduation ceremony for the students who were going to elementary school. Before I got in front of the crowd, I was ready to say my speech. I knew it word from word and I used the best voice I could. When it was my turn to say my speech, I stood in front of the microphone and cried. The only person who could make me say my speech was my mom. After I fininshed saying my speech, everyone stood up and cheered for me. That day I knew that I had to stop being shy and conquer my fear. Now whenever I have to talk in front of people, I can look them in the eye and say what I have to without my mom. The ability to overcome my threshold guardian has helped me to make alot of new friends and talk to strangers. I am very proud of myself that I can do things that I could not do when I was younger.

SNAKES..

Snakes are the true "shadows" in my life. If there is ever a moment where I see one, I freeze up and make no sudden moves for at least five minutes. Although some people think snakes are cool and the best pet you can have, I think they are the scariest animals in the world. I have been afraid of snakes for as long as I can remember. No matter the size shape or color of the snake, I am going to run from it or ask my dad to demolish it! Even when I see them on television, I hurry and change the channel so I won't have any bad dreams when I go to bed. Even if I talk about them my flesh starts to crawl and goosebumps form on my arms.

Tarnejah

The trickster of my life is my little sister Tarnejah. She is always doing or saying something to entertain me or who ever is around her. Whenever I feel down, she finds a way to make me feel better than I am. I remember when my friend died about 3 weeks ago, she told me that everything was okay and that he was in a better place. It doesn't matter what day it is, no matter if it is raining or if the sun is shining, Tarnejah will do her very best to make someone else besides herself feel better. Although alot of people don't say this about their sibling(s), she is the best little sister ever, and I am glad to have her in my life. If something ever happened to her, I don't know what I would do with my life.

Mental Pride in Excellence

Being an assistant for a pee wee drill team is a very complicated thing to do and it really helps you find your strengths and mental pride. When I first started helping out the drill team, I though it would be the hardest thing I would ever do. Working with young girls children the age of your sibling can be very physical. Although it was hard, it showed me that I can do the things I thought I could never do and it helps me find pride in myself and in others. Everything I teach the girls help me determine whether or not I am going to be a drill team instructor when I get older. Also the girls show me how I can effect other peoples lives while teaching them dance routines and exercising. I love helping with the pee wee drill team.
